Terms of service
Last updated
These terms apply when you use Assemble Money. In short: use it for your own household's finances, keep your sign-in secure, and remember that it shows information and never gives financial advice or moves money.
Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name: to be provided], which operates Assemble Money (“we”, “us”, “the service”). By signing in to or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use Assemble Money
Assemble Money is invite-only. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and you must have been invited by a household admin or by us.
Your account and household
- Keep your sign-in methods (your Google account and passkeys) secure, and tell a household admin promptly if you think someone else has accessed your account.
- Household admins decide who joins their household and what role each person has. Everyone in a household can see that household's information, so invite only people you trust with it.
- You are responsible for the information you add, and for having the right to add it.
Information, not financial advice
Assemble Money organizes and summarizes financial information. It is not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Information can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, for example when a bank reports a transaction late. Check important details with your financial institution before relying on them.
Read-only access
Assemble Money can never move money, make payments, or change anything at your bank. When bank connections become available, they will be read-only and provided through a third party (Plaid) under its own terms.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the service for anything unlawful or harmful.
- Try to access another person's account, or a household you don't belong to.
- Probe, scan, or test the service's security, or interfere with its operation, without our written permission.
- Copy, resell, or build a competing service from Assemble Money.
Your information
Your information belongs to you and your household. You allow us to store and process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Profile.
Third-party services
Sign-in uses Google or passkeys provided by your device. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for third-party services, but we choose them carefully.
Changes, suspension, and ending
Assemble Money is in early access. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for decisions made based on information shown in the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be limited by contract.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell you before it takes effect, in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
